This Privacy Policy explains how Eventfold ("Eventfold," "we," "us"), a product of Logicverse Labs, a startup based in Georgia, USA, collects, uses, and shares information when organizers and attendees use eventfold.io and related services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, you may sign up with an email address and password, or sign in with a Google account. From Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo as permitted by your Google account settings. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash.
Event and ticket information. Organizers provide event details (name, date, location, description, ticket types and pricing). Attendees provide the information needed to complete a purchase, such as name, email, phone number, and the number and type of tickets purchased (individual or family), including the names of additional attendees on a family or group ticket.
Payment information. Ticket payments and organizer payouts are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our own servers; Stripe handles that data under its own privacy policy.
Usage information. We collect standard technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, and how you interact with the Service, to keep it working reliably and to improve it. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie for light or dark theme; we do not use advertising cookies.
2. How we use information
- To create and manage accounts and process ticket purchases.
- To deliver tickets, receipts, and event-related notifications (such as reminders before an event).
- To calculate and route payouts to event organizers via Stripe.
- To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
- To improve Eventfold's features and understand how the Service is used.
3. How we share information
We share information with the following categories of third parties, and only as needed to operate the Service:
- Google— for account sign-in, subject to Google's own privacy terms.
- Stripe— for payment processing and organizer payouts, subject to Stripe's own privacy terms.
- Event organizers — an organizer can see the name, contact details and ticket details of attendees registered for their event, so they can manage entry and communicate about the event.
- Service providers — vendors who help us operate the Service, such as hosting, email delivery, and venue address lookup, under confidentiality obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Children's information
Some events on Eventfold are school or family events that may involve minors as attendees. Ticket purchases must be made by an adult account holder. We do not knowingly collect account information directly from children, and a minor's name provided as part of a family ticket is used solely for event entry and attendance purposes.
5. Data retention
We retain account and transaction information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account as described in Section 7.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypting all traffic in transit and relying on Google and Stripe for authentication and payment security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can access, update, or delete your account information by contacting us.
- You can revoke Eventfold's access to your Google account at any time through your Google account settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law to access, correct, or delete your data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify organizers and attendees directly.
