These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of eventfold.io and related services (the "Service"), operated by Eventfold, a product of Logicverse Labs, a startup based in Georgia, USA ("Eventfold," "we," "us"). By creating an account, organizing an event, or purchasing a ticket through the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use Eventfold
The Service is for organizing and attending events with roughly 10 to 5,000 attendees, including community, school, and sports events. You must be at least 18 years old to create an organizer account or to purchase tickets. Family tickets may cover minors attending under the supervision of the purchasing adult.
2. Accounts and sign-in
You may create an account with an email address and password, or sign in using your Google account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Organizer responsibilities
- Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their event listings, including date, time, location, pricing, and ticket policies.
- Organizers are responsible for delivering the event as described and for complying with all laws and venue requirements that apply to their event, including any taxes on ticket sales.
- Organizers set their own refund and cancellation policies, which must be stated clearly on the event listing. Where an organizer cancels an event, Eventfold will work with the organizer and Stripe to facilitate refunds to attendees.
4. Purchasing tickets
When you purchase a ticket, you're entering into an agreement with the event organizer, not with Eventfold directly, for admission to that event. Eventfold facilitates the transaction and payment processing but is not the organizer of third-party events listed on the Service.
Ticket prices are shown with a clear breakdown of the ticket price and the Eventfold service fee before checkout. All payments are processed by Stripe. Eventfold does not store your full payment card details.
5. Platform fees
Organizers pay nothing to use Eventfold: creating events, free tickets, registration, check-in, reminders and reports are free, and on paid tickets the organizer receives the full ticket price. Eventfold charges the ticket buyer a service fee on paid orders, shown as a separate line before payment. The fee is a flat 75¢ per paid ticket plus the cost of card processing (currently 2.9% plus 30 cents per order), and covers both Eventfold's platform fee and payment processing. Free tickets carry no fee. Current rates are also shown to organizers when they set up an event.
6. Refunds and cancellations
Refund eligibility is set by the event organizer and shown on the event page at the time of purchase, except where required otherwise by law. When a refund is issued, the Eventfold service fee is refunded with it in the same proportion, so a full refund returns everything you paid. If an event is canceled by the organizer, Eventfold will make reasonable efforts to help process refunds to affected attendees.
7. Ticket transfers
Tickets are issued to the purchaser and the attendee names given at checkout. Transferring a ticket to another person through the Service is not currently offered; organizers may, at their discretion, update the attendee name on a ticket or reissue it. Organizers may restrict or refuse transfers for a given event.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to list fraudulent events, resell tickets in violation of an organizer's stated policy, circumvent fees, or interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by Logicverse Labs. Organizers retain ownership of the event content they upload, and grant Eventfold a license to display that content for the purpose of operating the Service.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." Eventfold is not responsible for the conduct of organizers or attendees, or for the quality, safety, or legality of events listed on the Service. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Eventfold and Logicverse Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to Eventfold in the twelve months before the claim arose.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and take reasonable steps to notify organizers and attendees.
